| Plus of cousre, since Wood Lane station opened between Latimer Rd and Shepherds Bush (Market) the trains are not belting along at the same speed when approaching the bend. This has also reduced the general noise of the trains as they do seem to be noisier, the faster they are going. Not that I object to the noise of trains - otherwise I would hardly have lived here for 19 years - traffic noise and disturbance is much worse. Probably a silly thought but, re the tube trains, why not quieter rubber wheels like some other countries? |
