| Having visited Edible Todmorden, the Yorkshire town, who started the whole 'edible' thing it should be noted that in Todmorden a group of community minded women started veg and fruit growing throughout the town on a permanent basis.iThus herbs, and salad stuff anyone can crop outside the police station. the police plant and look after it. fruit trees planted everywhere, or wherever there was a space. they did not ask anyone, apart from encouraging people like the police and doctors. Very nice, but not enough W12. Let's all get growing. It doesn't mean allotments. It means any available unused space! |
