I was in the car for the first time in a long time around lunch time and was driving across Shepherd's Bush Green. Traffic was quite light overall but I hit a tailback going east which seemed to be caused by the removal of one lane for the cycle lane. It wasn't particularly bad and it took about five minutes to get to the roundabout. However during that time one cyclist went passed me.

I get that we need to be promoting active travel and all but stuck in the jam with me were three buses. When traffic starts to build up more there are likely to be longer traffic queues and more stuck buses which will reduce the capacity of an already at the limit public transport system.

Coming back the other way there were no queues any longer than you would normally expect but I didn't see one cyclist in the lane going west bound. Picture below is taken from Twitter.
