Who knows.... But to answer the question, I care! You can guess my colours but I am proud that I and many others worked hard for Andy Slaughter and our councillors to be (re-)elected. We kept our MP, increased our council vote in most wards and gained two more councillors. I think the Tory plans for council housing "redevelopment" (that's the polite word) certainly played a role, as did the fact that we had a well recognised and liked MP. The local battle continues, not least because there is a real danger the Council will now bulldoze ahead with getting rid of local council residents in favour of private owners. |
