| Following Mr Weir as head teacher was Ms Morwen Jenkins, previously a Deputy Head at Hammersmith County, who saw the school through difficult times to the end of the 1980s, her time fraught by the falling rolls as explained and the consequent reducing staffing. After she retired the next head teacher was Mr David Williams who made some innovations and after a couple of years with interim leadership (including Mr John Briers and Mrs Margaret Brookes) the school appointed Mr (later Sir) William Atkinson who has been an outstanding success. I am sure many former pupils recall notable Chris Wren teachers such as John Powell and Stuart Gordon who continued teaching in the merged school |
